It's that time of year when the sun is peeking out more and is becoming more intense. It's also time for you to better protect your skin head to toe! When someone asks me what my #1 sun anti-aging tip is, I always say "Use Sunscreen Everyday!"
Sunscreen should be mandatory for everyone everyday!!
Sunscreens act as a shield against the harmful UV rays which penetrates every time your skin is exposed to the sun. It is therefore advisable to use sunscreen everyday. You may not notice the benefits now, but the advantage of using sunscreen is felt in the long run.
As one of my most favorite dermatologists always says "the only time you don’t need sunscreen is when you need a flashlight!!"
Please don’t tell me that it’s in your make up because this is a lazy statement, you need to use a dedicated SPF 30 facial product each and everyday. Although dermatologists recommend wearing sunscreen every day, most people do not follow this advice. It is recommended that a person should apply some sort of SPF face lotion before applying any face makeup even if the foundation being worn has a SPF already in it. On a sidetone, anything above SPF 30 is hype in my brain, you just need to apply SPF more than 1x a day and if you are doing outside activities apply every couple hours for best coverage.

People think they don't need sunscreen on overcast days, not true! Ultraviolet rays that damage your skin, penetrate clouds with no problem, you need protection on these days!

Lancer 30 SPF Sunscreen - It’s really lite and watery and the coverage is fabulous! Men love this sunscreen because they hate putting thick products on like we woman do!
Rodan & Fields Reverse Treatment - Has an amazing last step with this SPF 50 sunscreen. I put this on and I get a "J-Lo Glow" without a stitch of makeup on. It’s fabulous!
