Anti-Aging Series Tip 3- Double Down on Washing Your Face!

Importance of Washing Your Face

Simply, cleansing your face removes makeup, oil, dirt, and other debris from your skin. Imagine you are an artist and your facial skin is a brand spanking new canvas, by cleansing your face each day you can help keep that canvas sparkling in between your masterpieces.

It is the buildup on your skin without proper facial cleansing each night that can ramp up texture issues and create that dull, blah look of the skin on your face. This buildup prevents your skin from having the ability to renew itself while you are sleeping. Potentially, this buildup can lead to pores that are clogged that in turn can create irritated, acne prone and dry skin.

Not cleansing can also affect the effectiveness of your favorite skincare products as they will not be able to absorb and penetrate your skin properly, what a waste of money that can easily be avoided.

I always recommend using a gentle cleanser and washing your face gently, twice. Why twice? Because on the first pass you remove the majority of the goop that has made its way there throughout the day. On the second pass you will be getting a much deeper cleanse that will allow your nighttime moisturizng routine to be more effective and do its job!
